Why you need the services of a skilled diesel technician

A good diesel technician is like a good doctor; hard to find and once found, hard to let go of. Let's face it, quality and loyalty rarely ever make it together but when it does happen, a life long relationship can blossom and thrive. Below I will list 5 things to keep aware of when finding the best technician to work on your rig.

1. Reputation. I good technician creates and maintains a reputation of professionalism and integrity. I good technician always tells the truth and never comes off as shady or manipulative.  Make sure to look them up on Google+ or Yelp ! to see if any customers have given them a good or bad review.

2. Technical expertise. ASE Certifications hanging on the wall can show you that your technicians have taken the initiative to further their own education and training. With dozens of fields of certification to test for, a good technician can specialize in one vehicle system or all of them. Make sire the credentials are still valid as ASE Certification only lasts 5 years before they expire.

3. Cleanliness. A clean and well kept shop can tell you a little bit about the owners. Clean shops are safe shops and you can b e rest assured that if the owners demand a clean shop, they'll treat your vehicle with the same respect.

4. ECO-Friendly. If a shop owner is dumping used oil down the drains, they're doing it wrong and are a hazard to the environment. All good shops adhere to lawful disposal methods for used fluids and parts. A good repair facility will also recycle all used fluids for you and won't pass along an exorbitant fee.

5. Friendliness. If your technician is grumpy or hard to work with, then maybe you've taken your car to the wrong place. A friendly technician is easier to trust and talk with. A courteous technician is a reflection of the facilities and the environment they foster. Make sure to take your rig to a place that appreciates your business.
